Can you add a payment icons block to Shopify checkout?

Yes, on Shopify Plus: the Checkout Blocks app's Shipping & Payment icons block shows the payment and shipping methods you accept as a trust-badge row. Shopify lists it as supported on the Checkout page only.

It isn't an image upload: you pick up to 10 icons in each block from Shopify's fixed list of payment and shipping brands. So your own “secure checkout” badge needs a different block: on Plus, for example a dynamic content block with an Image item.

What can you add below Shopify Plus?

On Basic and up, Checkout Blocks gives you static and dynamic content blocks, but only on the Thank you and Order status pages. A dynamic block can hold an Image item, so a badge image fits there. Why don't your theme's footer icons show at checkout?

Footer payment icons are a theme setting, and theme settings don't reach checkout — even theme Custom CSS skips your checkout. Checkout has its own checkout and accounts editor, separate from the theme editor.
