Does Shopify integrate with Xero?

August 8, 2026·
At a glance
Short answer
Yes — Xero publishes the connector: a live App Store listing (xero-6) plus one on Xero's marketplace; the old address only shows a notice.
Who publishes it
Xero, not Shopify — Shopify's own index of the apps it makes names no Xero connector
Who sets it up
Xero's marketplace listing routes setup help to Amaka, a third-party integrations provider, not to Shopify support
Where “free” is confirmed
“Free to install” on the App Store (xero-6); “free on all Xero plans” only on the US marketplace listing
What it moves
Sales, payouts, fees and taxes, either as a daily summary or as one transaction per sale
Not the same as Bill Pay
Shopify's own Bill Pay app pays supplier bills, US-only; the help pages we read name only QuickBooks Online

Is there a Xero app in the Shopify App Store?

Yes — but not at the address old links point to. On August 8, 2026 a live listing published by Xero sat at apps.shopify.com/xero-6 — free to install, launched March 24, 2026, with app support provided by Xero. The legacy Xero page answered differently:

This app is not currently available on the Shopify App Store. If you have support questions, contact Xero directly.
Shopify — Shopify App Store — Xero listing, read August 8, 2026 ·

The notice routes support questions to Xero, and stops there. Either way, the connector is Xero's own, not Shopify's — Shopify publishes an index of the apps it makes, and no page we read on August 8, 2026 — that index, either App Store address, or Xero's own listing — names a Xero connector built by Shopify.

Shopify Bill Pay is Shopify's own app, but a different direction of money: it pays supplier bills, is "available only to merchants in the United States", and across every page of its documentation we read on August 8, 2026, QuickBooks Online is the only accounting system named.

Where does the Shopify–Xero connector live, and is it free?

In two places, both published by Xero: the App Store listing above and Xero's app marketplace. The marketplace listing names Xero in the developer field and calls the integration free on all Xero plans — that is the US listing's wording; the UK, Australian and New Zealand listings we did not read. Xero says it syncs sales, payouts, fees and taxes from Shopify into Xero, and routes setup help to Amaka, a third-party integrations provider, not to Shopify support.

  • Online store and Shopify POS sales, as a daily summary or one transaction per sale.
  • Payout matching against your bank, including Shopify Payments payouts.
  • Up to 90 days of historical data, per the same US listing.
  • The US listing we read on August 8, 2026 publishes no list of what stays manual.

Do you need a paid connector instead?

Paid connectors sit next to it on the Shopify App Store. A2X, published by A2X Software Limited, starts at $29 a month for up to 200 orders and also serves QuickBooks Online — see the same question for QuickBooks. Free connector or paid, both routes describe summary-level reconciliation, so start with Xero's own and judge it against your own books before subscribing.
