Shopify Changelog Archive
44 changes Shopify shipped between 2026-06-13 and 2026-09-10, each one carrying Shopify's own headline, the official post it was announced in, and the date we last opened that post ourselves. Shopify publishes both of its changelogs as a feed and a scrolling page; neither is archived in a form you can cite, sort or quote a date from. This is that form.
How this page is maintained
- Shopify's words, not ours. Every headline in the table is the title of Shopify's own post, copied verbatim, and every row links to that post. We keep our own shorthand for internal use; it is not what you see here, because a paraphrase is not a citable record.
- The date is the day Shopify published the change. Not the day we noticed it — that is the separate "Checked" column. Where our own notes and the source disagreed about a date, the source won.
- Two changelogs, one archive. Shopify splits announcements between a merchant changelog and a developer changelog, and a merchant-facing change is regularly announced only on the developer side. Both are here, and the Source column says which one carried each entry.
- No entry without a link, and nothing back-dated into one. 4 entries in our journal have no citable Shopify URL, so they are not in the table — they are described below instead. No URL on this page was constructed from a title: a wrong address on changelog.shopify.com does not return 404, it quietly redirects to the front page, so a guessed link would look like a working one to every automated check.
- This is history, not a deadline list. Sunset dates, forced migrations and end-of-life deadlines live on our pricing and deprecation tracker, which is verified against Shopify's sources on its own schedule. This page records what changed and when it was announced; it does not restate those dates.

About the 2 rows marked below their headline. Shopify sometimes publishes two posts about one change within the same minute — a summary and a deeper write-up that cross-link to each other. Where that happened we link the post whose title names the change most completely, and say so rather than pretending the choice was obvious.
What our journal holds that this page does not

Quote any row with a link back to this page, or go straight to the Shopify post in the row — that is what the link is for. If a row is wrong, it is wrong in our own working journal too, and we would rather hear about it: the fix lands in one place and propagates everywhere it is used.
The archive runs from 2026-06-13 because that is when we started recording these passes, not because Shopify started changing then. It grows by one weekly pass; the newest entry here was published 2026-09-10 and last checked 2026-09-11.
What these changes mean in practice is the job of the guides, not of this table: what Shopify actually costs, the Scripts-to-Functions migration and every price and deprecation date we track.
